A FIRST-EDITION copy of Beatrix Potter's first illustrated book, the exceptionally rare A Happy Pair, published in 1890, is expected to fetch up to 30,000 at Sotheby's on 13 December. Only six copies of the book survive, of which the one to be auctioned is the best preserved.
