The Beatrix Potter biopic, "Miss Potter," tries to pull off the same trick as 2004's "Finding Neverland:" It's out to be a charming film about an Edwardian author whose childlike literary sensibility was partially forged by a tragic love affair.
It doesn't quite grab the brass ring, and is not likely to have its predecessor's same broad appeal with critics and all moviegoing demographics, but it's still, in many ways, a magical little movie in its own right, and a thoroughly pleasant experience.
