L. Frank Baum will forever be known as the man who wrote "The Wizard of Oz" and numerous other books about that magical land that lay just "over the rainbow." However, not many people know that Baum also tried his hand at movie-making during the early days of that industry.
In 1914, Baum produced and directed three movies based on his Oz books.
Baum's efforts, which proved he should have stuck to writing, included:
