The event called Oz-Mania was held on May 19-21, 2006, at the New York State Fairgrounds in the Horticultural Building. The once in-a-lifetime event was to celebrate the 150th anniversary birthday of L. Frank Baum, author of "The Wizard of Oz."

The goal of the $100,000 event was to bring together the 24 locations where L. Frank Baum, his parents and ancesters lived (including that of Baum's birthplace, Chittenango) and to give 100 percent of the proceeds to the Golisano Children's Hospital.
