It's amazing, Mike Quirk is saying:

"We do this with a standing committee of nine or 10 people. After this weekend, we take a week off and start planning for next year. We're all volunteers."

Mike is acting president of the Chittenango Foundation, which puts on OzFest, the annual tribute to a hometown boy named L. Frank Baum, who wrote "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz."

The fest starts today in the usually peaceable Madison County village of 5,000 people. It doesn't run down until Sunday.
