Early-20th-century children's author L. Frank Baum is revered for his series of books about a blustering Wizard who ruled the land of Oz with a faux iron fist. But Baum also may rank as the first biographer of Kriss Kringle with one of his lesser-known books, The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus.
