Did L. Frank Baum have this much trouble when he penned "The Wizard of Oz"?

Ever since the Harry Potter books took the world by storm, a storm of a different kind has been raging over whether or not the books teach witchcraft. This has been particularly vexing for Christian families who might not be sure which position to take.

The decision by the Penryn fire police not to provide traffic support for the YMCA's triathlon, based upon their belief that reading Potter books to children supports witchcraft, has brought this matter to a head. Maybe it's time for a bit of calming waters.
