L. Frank Baum didn't stop writing about the Land of Oz after "The Wizard of Oz" came out in 1900. Over the next 13 years, his books about the magical land grew to include the "The New Wizard of Oz," "Ozma of Oz," "Dorothy and the Wizard of Oz," "The Road to Oz," and "The Emerald City of Oz."
His final book in the series, "Patchwork Girl of Oz," which came out in 1913 and has been adapted for the stage, will be performed by the Arlington Children's Theatre today and Aug. 10 at 2 p.m.; Aug. 6 and 8 at 10 a.m.; and Aug. 7 and 9 at 7 p.m., at The Regent Theatre on Medford Street in Arlington.
