When Dorothy's magical ruby slippers have been replaced by a fly pair of silver sneakers, you know you're not watching your grandfather's "Wizard of Oz."

"The Wiz," a rock-and-roll version of L. Frank Baum's turn-of-the- century children's classic, was electrifyingly brought to life at Woodbridge High School last weekend, full of spectacular touches.
