The Land of Oz Preservation Co. will open for a L. Frank Baum birthday celebration from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Those attending will learn about the life and times of Baum, the author of "The Wizard of Oz," who was born in Chittenango on May 15, 1856. The Land of Oz Preservation Co. is at 415 N. Salina St., Syracuse.
