`Pallisers' original TV series on video

The opulent adaptation of Anthony Trollope's novels "The Pallisers," which scored a huge hit on PBS in the 1970s, has become available on video.

The original BBC version of 26 episodes, which were edited down to 22 shows for airing in the United States, are being distributed by Acorn Media Publishing of Silver Spring, Md. (1-800-474-2277).

The first eight episodes, packaged in a four-volume boxed set at $79.95, was released last week. The second set is scheduled to be released in the first quarter of next year and the final set in the third quarter of 2001. The DVD version of the first set ...
