Two stars (out of four)

Bob Dylan has earned the right to make another cinematic vanity project, 25 years after the infamous "Renaldo and Clara." And I suppose lots of talented people - from Jeff Bridges and John Goodman to Jessica Lange and Angela Bassett - have the right to indulge him.

But "Masked & Anonymous" is a mess. A sometimes amusing or thoughtful mess, but a mess all the same.

The movie stars Dylan and reportedly was written by him, too. ...
