New Berlin again ponders gifts policy Ethics Board working on new proposal to regulate anonymous donations to city officials, workers

The New Berlin Ethics Board could return to the Common Council with a proposal governing the receipt of anonymous donations to city employees that is less stringent than the policy aldermen and the city attorney rejected a month ago.

At a meeting next week, Ethics Board members will consider a policy requiring city employees who receive any kind of anonymous donation to ask the Ethics Board to decide whether they can keep the money, officials said.
