TWO police constables who had sex with a drunken woman while on duty smirked yesterday as they were cleared of rape.

But Mark Witcher and Andrew Lang had the smiles wiped off their faces when a judge jailed them for wilful misconduct in public office.

They were described last night as 'sexual predators' by the assistant chief constable of Surrey police, Mark Rowley.

He said they used the trust placed in their uniforms to meet and prey on vulnerable women, and added that this was far from an isolated incident.
