Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Lang was retroactively charged with a flagrant foul Monday for his part in the play that put New York Knicks star Patrick Ewing out for the season Saturday night.

Bucks general manager Bob Weinhauer said league vice president Rod Thorn told him he made the decision to change Lang's personal foul to a flagrant foul, even though the three officials working the game had not recommended the stiffer penalty.

Lang will not be fined, Thorn told Weinhauer, but there is a consequence for the 10th-year center. The league's decision means Lang has accumulated one ...
