TWO policemen who had sex with a drunken woman while on duty face a retrial over allegations that they raped her.
A jury at Winchester Crown Court failed to decide whether constables Mark Witcher and Andrew Lang, both 30, assaulted the 23-year-old hairdresser. The judge, Mr Justice Gray, called a halt and discharged the jury yesterday.
The two Surrey officers, earlier convicted of misconduct in a public office, will be sentenced for those offences at the end of the second trial.
