TWO policemen are facing a retrial on charges of raping and indecently assaulting a young mother after a jury failed to reach verdicts.
The panel of three women and nine men spent nearly 17 hours deliberating on the charges against Surrey constables Mark Witcher and Andrew Lang at Winchester Crown Court. But the officers' careers are already in tatters after they were found guilty of three counts of misconduct in public office, including one of having sex with the 23-year-old while on duty.
