A POLICEMAN accused along with a colleague of raping a woman they had been called out to help yesterday admitted 'lust had taken over' but insisted she had consented to sex.

PC Andrew Lang said he felt stunned when he realised what they had done.

But he insisted the mother of three was an entirely willing partner and even thanked them as they left.

Lang, 30, did admit to answering his police radio while he was having sex with the woman, who had earlier drunk about 12 double vodkas, telling colleagues he was ' conducting an area search'.
