TWO policemen have been charged with raping a 23 year -old woman while they were on duty.

The officers from Surrey Police were arrested following an internal investigation based on intelligence material. PC MarkWitcher, 29, and PC Andrew Lang, 30, both based at Guildford Police Station, are due to appear before Aldershot Magistrates' Court today.

They have been suspended from duty since January 22. The victim, who was not a member of the force's staff, was allegedly raped at an address in the Guildford area on September 20.
