SALEM -- While the novel "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott has been adapted into three movies and a number of stage plays, it has not been transformed into a musical. Until now.
And that formidable task has fallen on two graduates of Salem State College and a new professional theater company based in Marblehead.
"Little Women: A New Musical," with music by Leah Miles and book and lyrics by Brent Sprague, will be presented by SeaStage at the Callan Studio Theater at Salem State College Aug. 20-30.
