OUTRAGED animal lovers have inundated the Mail, venting their fury at the cowards who burnt to death a helpless dog on Handsworth Golf Course.

After an horrific picture of the charred remains of the pitiful animal was published, a special reward fund has been arranged with the RSPCA because so many readers want to offer money in a bid to help officers catch those responsible.

Animal lover Theresa Thomas, aged 66, of Weoley Castle, said she had been so sickened by the photo that she had been kept awake all night.
