Adam Smith's free enterprise economics is relevant to the situation in Czechoslovakia. The principles of entrepreneurship forwarded by Smith serve as a clear guide for overall economic recovery. The Czechoslovakian government has used this guide to formulate a clear mission statement and a flexible reform strategy and to achieve price stabilization and privatization.
IT IS MOST intellectually stimulating for me to have this unique opportunity to speak here today and, in addition, to be somehow related to the name of the rounding father of economic science, Adam Smith.
