Yes. I'd like to nominate it for next month.

My vote made Oscar Hijuelos' The Mambo Kings take the lead by 1.

    I'm still deciding.

It was a toss up for me Mambo Kings or The Red and the Black, but I went with the colors, man, the colors.
I'd rather have questions that I can't answer than answers that I can't question.

I'd heard that it's the 50th anniversary of the publishing of To Kill a Mockingbird, so it seemed like a good time to read it. But...

The last time I checked this thread, there was a four-way tie, with my nominee in the running. To think I got excited that I might go 2/2 in Book Club nominations.

    Farewell, Clockwork Orange.

I have a copy of it on my shelf from ages - before the Euro maybe - I hope this will be the right time to finally read it!

I'm 4th in the HOLD line for Mambo Kings at the library. Hopefully I'll see it before September is over.

I did get the one copy they had left of The Red and the Black, so I'm going to read that anyway until Mambo Kings comes in, but then the fat lady hasn't sung yet!
