That is why I never take a guy's opinion on such critical matters.

Not very big, it's just a close-up shot. It's about an inch long and not heavy at all.

Fair enough, I kind of prefer going sans earrings on the daily. I know a lot of women are like that. Although there is always that friend who has the craziest tea pot/Halloween/Christmas/chandelier earrings and can pretty much always get away with them.

I almost never wear earrings (and never the dangling type)... Feel like I am carrying tons of weight.
So, I cleaned some soot with my vacuum and now it won't work :-/

Why're you doing the vacuuming? Leave that to the menfolk who also need to make me a sandwich! Rawr! Not.... I just finished steam cleaning the carpets... bleh.
Did you open it up and...erm... clean it out? What cleans a vacuum? Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Bagless.
I have emptied it and sort of cleaned but no luck.
Will open it properly tomorrow and see what is going on.
Geno> I have always wanted to steam clean my carpets but never dared on my own (as opposed to hire someone else to do it).
Might hire one those vacuums one of these days and give it a try.

My last vacuum was bagless. After about two years it stopped working well. I cleaned and changed every filter I could but it just wouldn't pick anything up. I'm currently loving my bagged vacuum.

The Boss Smart Vac by Eureka. It's got a hemi.
Got mine only couple of months ago!
And it's already getting weird??
Today, I pulled it apart and cleaned every single crevice with a pastry brush. It got a little messy but now it is working nicely.
To celebrate, I even pulled the sofas and vacuumed under/behind them!

Eeeeeh, I just borrowed it from a friend. It was surprisingly cheaper!

It was the British Gas-man, who did it actually. When he came for the annual check-up, he asked to use the vacuum to clean up the mess (they usually bring their own heavy duty one but this one did not) and all the soot clogged up the veins on my gentle domestic one!

Aww, you are not just saying that, are you?

Cost aside, is it worth the hassle?

Henrys are good vacuum cleaners. They last too.

Well whenever I emptied out the tank thingy the water was seriously gross. It was all murky and dirty. For ME it was worth it, for others who don't have pets and might not mind a little dust, it's probably not. Plus I did it for the 'rents.
Why does it feel odd to be talking about vacuum cleaners in the girls thread? :-/

Can't see this being a popular topic in Gents' thread...
