    This thread is great.

Well forgotten in my opinion. 4/10. It's one of the reasons punk happened.

Along a similar vein, but a bit folkier:

Here's another 80s offering that I've jigged - couldn't be called dancing really - to in nightclubs - after having had a few of course...

That guy looks likes Prince and Lenny Kravitz's b*stard lovechild, not sure if that's good or bad. The dancing was sufficiently camp to make me like it, song was kinda catchy too. 7/10

I bought a CD of Jeff Buckley today, thinking this song was on it. Turned out, it wasn't . So I'll still have to relay on youtube for this one

I feel an obligation to punish those who insist on propagating drivel across the Internet. Therefore, the following is well deserved in my opinion.

"Je crois que beaucoup de gens sont dans cet état d’esprit: au fond, ils ne sentent pas concernés par l’Histoire. Mais pourtant, de temps à autre, l’Histoire pose sa main sur eux." Michel Houellebecq.

It has a certain crackly elegance - but it's not my G&T old chap. 3/10

I'm going to have to ramp up a guitar for the next one.

All the musical quality of a bowel movement, I'm afraid: it gets 1/10 for having noise, if nothing else.

"I should only believe in a God that would know how to dance. And when I saw my devil, I found him serious, thorough, profound, solemn: he was the spirit of gravity- through him all things fall. Not by wrath, but by laughter, do we slay. Come, let us slay the spirit of gravity!" - Nietzsche

Nightwish songs always have to grow on me (except Nemo, that one was a winner from the start), but this one doesn't invite me to listen to it again. Too polished...
    3/10

Here's a great combination: Apocalyptica AND Sandra Nasic (Guano Apes)

I liked the beginning, but it seemed too familiar afterwards. 4/10

I used to listen to my landlord's tape - I'm going back a bit - of Ram by Wings. I thought it was really good.

My favourite McCartney solo album. In fact, I like it more than a couple of Beatles albums.

I'll go for 10/10 too. After remembering the album just now, I've been listening again to it on Youtube. It's very good. I'll have to buy it again.

It takes me right back to the living room of my first house with the brown carpet and the kitchen extension and the low settee that was fashionable at the time that caused you to bang your head when you sat down uncautiously......but I digress.

Some late 70s funky disco thingy...
