It was just a good luck. During the lunch time my colleague asked me if I wanted to see a lizard. Sure I wanted, I ran to my office to pick my camera and then back to the animal. He obviously was looking for some cool place, it was about 35 degrees outside. I managed to take only 3 pictures before he disappeared, here is the second one:
I never think of Hungary as having lizards. The furthest north that I have seen one was in Germany, not far from Frankfurt am Main.

I thought they were everywhere because we had them in Russia, where I was born. I am not that good at geography but I believe that Hungary is located closer to South than Germany, at least Frankfurt.

Yes you are right, but for some reason I always think of lizards belonging in tropical or sub-tropical lands such as those around the Mediterranean.I was amazed when years ago a friend and I were driving from Mainz to Frankfurt and we stopped at a lay by on the autobahn to stretch our legs and I saw a lizard in the grass. I have travelled widely in Germany, particularly in the south, and I never saw one again.
I suppose that you came from the Black Sea area of Russia.

That's an interesting video about cats guarding the Hermitage museum. You can use any other method to control rodents but cats are simply the best.
The video about the young couple taking their cat on their walking journey from the US to Argentina is just amazing.

My cat has never travelled to Argentina, nor have I :-(

but he is so romantic in the window:

I took this picture tonight when we had a power cut - I had nothing to do without electricity, so I opened my window and he came immediately...

'They are also intelligent cats! These are the cats that learn to open doors and sense the mood of their owners. They normally get along well with other pets and children and their undemanding nature fits well in many modern homes. They are low maintenance from a grooming standpoint but often enjoy being brushed because it means being with their owner. They are quite willing to entertain themselves also!'

He came to my friend`s place - where I am staying now - this morning, as he usually does. I tend to think that it`s a boy, because of his colour and his habit to conrol his territory every morning. He obviously lives somewhere in the neighbourhood. He didn`t appear too friendly, he was rather distant, I was so excited to take some pictures and make friends with him. That`s why some of pictures are not clear. I understand that it`s not easy to trust people especially if you a cat and have to cross the yards of foreign people. Not everybody likes cats, so you must be cautious.

When the window was between us he was brave:

    He left soon:

This bloke lives with our neighbours, but he has claimed ownership of us as well, and we are his willing slaves.
