Well, I want Holland to win, but I'm not sure that'll happen. Also, I like Uruguay, but Ghana is the last African country...so I'm torn between the two.

So for loyalty's sake I put 20 on Holland and 20 on Ghana.

At least you'll have more elbow room on that side of the stadium. :]

My heart and my money go with Holland. And where those two go, my head tends to follow, despite intellectual misgivings.

Genocide> I am very sorry but no new players are allowed in the game since the beginning of the second round.

Truth be told, I would be delighted to see Holland winning this match and if I had less points, I would probably have bet on them but at this stage, I think I will bet on Brazil.

I don't even want to think about the Ghana game yet :-/

Wow, first he makes an own goal, then he kicks a player laying on the ground and receives red. Way to go Felipe Melo...

And who does Dani Alves think he is? Shooting from 30 or 40 meters all the freaking time, yet he can't even shoot. Seriously he can't even kick thirty meters far without the ball hitting the ground..

15 more minutes, Brazil can get back even with ten players. This is gonna be an intense finish! ATTACK!!

Just watched the highlights. What a game it has been!

The Dutch goals were excellent (though the first one is helped by Melo a little ).

And how many did Kaka miss?

I am very happy that Holland is through but, oh man... My coins!

Now to decide what to do about the second match today...

I want Ghana to go through with all my heart but can they do it? It was an easier decision when they were playing against the USA.

I now root for Uruguay, it's the last team in I actually like (starting with five). So far, this world cup is as bad as the last one for me, my favorite teams play terrible, and there are few goals and lots of boring games. Or actually it's even worse cus of the referees.. Yet it's still great because it's a WORLD CUP! And games like the one just now are amazing to watch..

Well, I've run out of coins.. Good luck to everyone who still has some, and thank you Scher for organizing all this, it's an awesome thread!

That's very sweet and nicest thing said to me on the Forum in a long while!

Joking aside, I am glad you took part in the game, Dodo. It's been fun, this game, with so many people taking part.

So, I go out at half time with Brazil clearly on top, a goal up, playing well.
I come home an hour later to find they have lost, self-destructed and are out.

Oh where are the certainties of yesteryear? What is there left that we can cling to, adrift upon this sea of chance?
