He said, "Nice to see your home fans booing you."

To be honest, I thought he said "Boo you!"

(Not that it makes a big difference).

What did he expect the fans do? Congratulations for their lackluster, less than mediocre game?

Rooney is our sacred cow. He'll never get dropped even though he was the poorest player on the field tonight.

    Why is that?

He does not even seem fit.

Like you lot I am totally disgusted with the result yes, but with the performance and attitude as well, this was nothing more than absolutely appalling.

The team will rightly get slaughted tomorrow in the press, the players and the manager deserve that, and top of the list will be Rooney who dared to slag off the fans over there. What the hell does he expect, applause? Well done you had one shot against Algeria at 30 yards. Algeria who are awful and were a 950/1 shot to win the cup at the start but still were better than England, hopeless. Not happy.

    HA!!!

Scher, I don't suppose you could sub a good looking and upset young fella a couple of Lit Net's could you? Scher? Scher?

Kilted, I must admit that your predictions have been pretty good, didn't you have the draw here? I was following a chap on a betting forum and he claimed to have laid England for a grand tonight, so he'll be about 4/5 grand up after that result and bragging no doubt.

you should all feel lucky your team made it to the world cup. Yeah they are playing really badly, but at least they didnt loose out on a chance of being in the world cup because of a cheating french man and his "hand of frog", and looking at the way france are playing currently they shouldnt even be there.

Yeah, I had the draw. The problem with England is (and has been for the last 12 years since Gazza left the team) they have no one in the middle of the park who can put his foot on the ball and make good creative passes. Lampard and Gerard are good players but they are not creators - they are energy players who can get forward from midfield to run on to knock downs from headers and fire shots from the edge of the area, but neither are creators of the likes of Fabregas, van der vaart, xavi, who can spot where the ball should go and actually get it there. Barry is a defensive midfielder who makes short simple passes ("water carrier" anyone?)

    All right.

I can lend you some coins... Say, 10... And you can pay me back 15 as soon as you reach 30.

    Do we have a deal?

They've done relatively well in the second half in both games I've seen. The first half.... That's a bit of an embarassment, but come one. They're holding their own and when we think of footbal as American Football, not soccer, not half bad I suppose

I was expecting a lot better from England, only Gerrard was trying to create chances for his team while rest of the team was invisible.

Wow, I'm nealy wiped out. Back to back o for 3 days. Should I bet it all on one game or divide it? Problem is that none of today's three seem like sure things. What exactly is a sure thing in this world cup?

I bet on sure things and was wiped out in the first week.!

Aside from the football, it is entertaining watching neely embarking upon the slippery slope of virtual debt and ruination. I see a cautionary tale emerging.

I put 5 on Holland. I'm back to taking small risks.
