I like Argentina. They are energetic, skilled and passionate in their game. They show a team spirit that is lacking in most others.

They have been one of the few impressive teams so far, in my opinion.

Yes, they have proven to be top notch. They always are, every year. I guess I have a thing against them ever since Maradonna had tha hand goal in the world cup many years ago (looked it up, 1986 against England). And he had the audacity to brag about it too. And now I have to watch his ugly face on the side lines all game long.

Oh no, I'm just a listener/spectator, I'm off to the big city, London, to see Figaro! With the racing, I'm off to the races, York races, we go every year with work, for a bit of general drinking in the sun and a few bets here and there - it's all good stuff and it means that the holidays are around the corner too which is even better!!!

Scotland won't win it anyway. Germany look sharp although that was not a true test. It'll be hard to score against Brazil. The Spanish and English have been dealt big blows to their egos. Argentina are just warming up but they'll have to get into top gear by next game. The other South American teams look good. Ok I'll plump for the Dutch getting into the semi finals and that is as much as I'll say. Cow-ard!

Yes, I've had a few quid on no African team to progress from the groups at good odds for interest, so I'm hoping they continue to flop somewhat. Ghana are the main threats though.

I think that France will play better tonight and expose Mexico as fluent, but over-rated, so I'm going for a French win staking 20.

Mexico were really good - quick and accurate on the ball. They deserved to win that one.
