Haha that owl is cute! Definitely get it!
I'm really, really particular about purses. I hardly ever see ones I like, so I don't end up with many. I did buy one over the holidays though. It's dark purple leather, but I can't find a pic of it now.
I'm weary with right-angles, abbreviated daylight,
Waiting for a winter to be done.
Why do I still see you in every mirrored window,
In all that I could never overcome?
I go back and forth between purse sizes. I'll decide I want a big one, stuff it full of everything imaginable and then decide it's too heavy and bulky and go to a tiny purse that fits basically a wallet and my phone...then I decide I need more space so I get a massive one and the cycle starts all over again.![]()

That is me! I have a lot to carry, and there are papers in it so you can do some personal business on break; then I think "Why am I carrying around so much?" then I try to downsize, and end up with a small purse stuffed to the brim. It would help if I took the time to clean them out periodically.![]()

I used to carry a huge bag with my entire life stuffed into it - the first time I went out with a certain gorgeous bloke, he chivalrously handed me my my bag, buckled under the weight, and muttered, 'Typical! You have to be a weight-lifter to carry it...' so I thought, 'Right, matey, I'll show you!' and went out and bought the cutest, dinkiest little bag you ever saw, all gathered leather, soft as could be, a girlie bag. Next time we went out, he turned to me and without batting an eyelid said, ' I think I'll leave my jacket in the car - I don't suppose you have room in your bag for my wallet?' No, Sunshine, I do not - and you've only got yourself to blame. But somehow he hung around for the next twenty-odd years, so my handbags went back to being big enough to carry my entire life again - and his, as well.
Ah, so there's hope for us large-hand-bagged ladies, eh?![]()

I've noticed that also, Kasie. When I have a larger purse, everyone wants me to carry wallets, papers, water bottles... I come home with back strain!
I like the medium sized purse; but everything falls to the bottom. I've taken to the habit of carrying little ziplocs in the bag; but now I confuse the ziplocs...
Sometimes I buy purses with compartments, but the fabric ones tear quickly...
I like the last one!

How about this?

I make it a rule that if i'm buying a bag (thats not a going out at night or for dinner bag) it has to be big enough to fit a trade paper back as well as my other bits and bobs. It also has to be one i can slig over my shoulder!![]()

Now I know I've a little bit of luck. The same day I went poking about looking at the purses, the purse fairy delivered one to me as a giftHere it is...
It's not big enough for a computer, but I bet I can fit a hardbound book in there if needed.
Oh, that's cute! I like the shorter straps.

I think that story is so adorable Kasie!!!
I can't get started on handbags...oh dear I got so many of them! I find that I too always have to carry everyone's things in them. Often when my best friend and I go to the movies with our guy friends, we're carrying their drinks and snacks to sneak them in!
My dad spoiled me this Christmas and bought me a B. Makowsky handbag and already it's a weight lifting nightmare! Perhaps it's a good idea to clean them out once a week or something.
Speaking of the Christmas handbag....it's a cream leather hobo....so it's very light and doesn't do well with the spilling of chocolate shakes...does anyone have a good in home remedy? I'm scared of damaging the leather.

Thank, Grace - carrying his wallet was the least I could do for him - he fixed things for me all the time, he understood I was not-very-good with-mechanical-things.
Oh dear, oh dear - I went to M&S yesterday - it was only to recycle my Christmas cards - honest.... They had the recycling box right by the door, I didn't have to go inside the shop but they had this line of new spring cardigans just inside the door and there was this lovely long-line jacket style cotton cardie in blue stripes that would just go with my travel wardrobe of blue and I don't have a light-weight cardie - well, I do , but it's short and zips up to make a sweater - and it spoke to me and positively begged me to take it home with me...
Then when I got back to the car with it, I realised I had parked outside Accessorize and they had their new line of spring bags in the window and some of them were blue and I could do with a carry-on bag for my trip - I resisted their siren call though I did pop in to have a look and very nice they were too but I do love browsing in Accessorize.

Giiirrrrlllllll We want details!!
Ya know, nails are another thing that confound me. When I don't pay attention to them they grow long, I notice they're long and I start to fuss with them (putting on polish and strengthener) then they break. I get disgusted and stop paying attention and the cycle continues.![]()
