I grew up studying couple of hours of English a week at school. I think I was in my late teens when I first met a native speaker but today things are much easier thanks to technology and internet. One can meet people and chat at least virtually.

Thanks for the welcome Yes, you are right, if you are learning some foreign language and don´t know any native speaker, Internet is probably the best way to improve your learning. At least, in my case, I think I have improved a lot

It won't help you a bit. It will help you a lot. There are many great Anglophones here who are a constant source of knowledge. You'll learn a lot, so read as many posts as you can, post your own and good luck... and welcome!
