But isn't the same thing true for us girls, too?

I have many friends who take pride in the fact that they can operate power tools or talk the car or football/soccer talk while scratching some unbecoming parts of their bodies and sipping their beer.

haha very true. Women are indeed complicated I had to admit but we all, men and women, got complications...

Yeah, that's true too. Thanks for that last paragraph there - I got a nice visual on that one.

I guess the drape thing irritated me because he wasn't there at Target when I was buying them, and he didn't see that the drape selection was slim pickens. Then again, if he had been at Target with me, he might have annoyed me by either being disinterested or being too overly interested and fussy about what was purchased. I guess when it comes to decorating, there isn't a win/win in our house. He doesn't like the drapes but it's okay to keep the toolbox on the dining room table so I give up. And let me tell you about the the can of foot spray on my coffee table. Better Homes and Gardens wants to photograph our house for their magazine. NOT!

He took issue with the curtains I got for the bedroom and was bothered by the positioning of a ruffle and I was taken aback by that one. Weird.
I know, right? My dad will wear khaki-coloured pants with black socks and brown leather shoes!!! COME ON!! He picked the vacuum to match the colour of his motorcycle- I can't decide if that makes it more or less legitimate.

yeah, guys don't know what color socks to wear EVER. My gramps used to go to the beach in his swim trunks and black socks and those slip on canvas shoes that old men wear. And my husband likes to wear his white tube socks to work with this khacki pants sometimes even though he has an ample supply of socks that go with Khacki pants. I watch in horror when he leaves the house, but then I remember that he works with other men who probably don't notice anyway.

My high school uniform had black pants, and all the guys wore white socks underneath. It's awful haha. How about brown shoes and a black belt or vice versa?

Don't know if you are familiar with "Coupling" but I think you should watch this little section about "cushions":
