I would like to read this time with the club

But that will entirely depend on my getting a copy of the book that wins, which is EF, and I am inclined to vote for it too. I think I saw a movie with the name 'Age of Innocence,' was it based on this novel?

I would still prefer EF, although I havent read any book by this author so far. And I really really want to read a book with the club. I always decide to read, when that book has already been read and discussed

I'll check out at the book store today, else i'll continue with Marquez book.

Edit :- Got the book I will be reading with everyone I must vote now

I believe so, yes. Wynona Ryder was in it, and Itcame out in 93' I think. She ruined the film of any of its merits! The film was ok though, Could have been better without Ms. Ryder.

    Thanks Asa.

I have started reading Ethan Frome, on the first page, though

Tomorrow we shall see who wins! I think I shall read the other Edith Wharton's books too. I shall add them in my huge book list.

Yes, I would love to join! Where do I go for the discussion? Does it take place within this same thread here or somewhere else?

Hope you will be able to join us for the Wharton reading!

Either this thread turns into the discussion thread, or Scher will start a new one. Either way, it is on LitNet and you will definitely be able to find it.

Yes, I think undoubtedly Ethan Frome will win. But because of the voting...I've looked up all the books mentioned and I have to admit, Wharton's books (errr...yes even Ethan Frome) are going to end up on my shelves.

I think maybe I should start considering finding a copy of Ethan Frome

As grace mentioned, there will be a discussion thread in the BC discussion section in April, where you will be able to post your comments/questions on the book.

I am very glad that you all will be joining us in April. I read AofI last year and loved it. Wharton is good, me thinks!

PS: Madhuri, yes, the movie was based on the book. I enjoyed watching it as well.

Hey, Madhuri! I am on the first page too! I was compelled to read it right before I logged on, and it must have been your spirit that beckoned me to the book. It sat eagerly on my shelf forever, and now I have picked it up! Creepy eh?
