ok then no pineappe in the jug, just the usual lemon orange and mint.

I don't mean to be a pain, but I hate mint too. I actually think I might be allergic to it. So, perhaps I should just stick to my fruit and lemonaid cocktails and let you get on with your drinks for the others, so that I don't spoil it for them

There once was a scotsman named Drew

Mmm..I may have to have some of these fruit cocktails as well. Naturally I assumed that non-drinkers could join in the festivities with their fancy beverage of choice. Oh, and everyone keep an eye on Miss Tenderness. If she thinks a Guinesss and Scotch on the rocks look like non-alcoholic beverages, she'll need the advice of some good girlfriends at this party.![]()

I suppose having a voice like Sean Connery might be acceptable. I take it you're eyeing the Scotch?Originally Posted by kilted

Hmmm...well I rarely drink. I'll drink wine when I'm out for a nice dinner with the boyfriend...or if it's one of those "we need to get stone drunk because life sucks today" kind of outing then I just go all-out and have myself vodka with red bull...about 2 and a half gets me to my happy place....and the red bull keeps me awake, lol. (Always designate a non-drinking driver, kids! And it never hurts to be the designated driver if you have a camera...videocamera gets you bonus points!!!) lol
I say you all come over and try a Bushwhacker![]()

Bluebiird, I may be presumptious in writing this, and please forgive me if I am...but those read like the words of someone who has been hurt and is putting up a protective front.
Any evidence I could offer would be only from my own experiences, thus not any sort of scientific proof. I have had some very bad experiences with men, but even so I still believe there truly are many kind and caring men out there. I am even lucky enough to call some of them "friend". I really also must point out that women are not the perfect sex either ( I can think of some women I really dislike, for things that have happened in my past.) Both sexes have their flaws and I don't think it is right to generalize that all people of a particular group are a certain way.
I think it boils down to what all of us share...our humanity. I can be pretty cynical about human nature myself, but somehow I try to see what is good about most people. I may not always succeed in this endeavor, but oh well. Sadly there are many ignorant, cruel and just plain nasty people in the world (male and female) but there are also many wonderul people in the world too (male and female). I am sure I probably seem like a silly sap, but that is how I feel.
Heck, no! I was just being silly when I posted that pic.
That is too funny...Actually one of the terms I was thinking of was surfing a crimson wave.

Oops, I forgot to mention that I want a Frozen Mudslide, minus the vodka and Kahlua. Er, I guess that means I will have a coffee milkshake.

Well said Kathy, coz I echo the very same sentiments.
I'd like to think I've earned my stripes in the experience and reality department. At 22 I married my high school sweet heart and at 24 I went through a divorce(I'm now 25).I'm very often labeled by friends as a dreamer or a silly optimist who's really not intouch with reality.
Do I still believe in love?
Maybe I am a dreamer and a silly optimist, but take a look around you.
What can you hold onto, if you dont hold onto your dreams.
My experiences have made me stronger, wiser and a great deal more mature.
They have an awesome word for my experiences its called...
LIFE.
So heres to Love, humanity, forgiveness and silly optimistic saps all over the world.
A man should never be ashamed to own he has been in the wrong, which is but saying in other words that he is wise today than yesterday - Alexander Pope
Conviction that is not under-girded by LOVE makes the possessor of that conviction obnoxious and the dogma possessed becomes repulsive - Ravi Zacharias.
You guys are right. I know that. But I was in a rather bad mood. I have a lot of feelings that I have to keep in, for now that are starting to drive me crazy. However, should any of you wish to find out what they are, I'm thinking of starting a blog at the start of December. (I'd start one right away, but I'd rather have some kind of small event to mark it, and the start of a new month sounds good to me. Really it would be better next year, but I have a problem with something that is going to happen over Christmas, so the start of the month will have to do)

Blogging is good, poetry is good, short stories are good...the only way I got through angry/sad times was by finding some way to write, even if it was writing that was worthless to others it was worth the world to me just to get my feelings expressed. Go for it!
