I'm going to hold out and see what it comes down to. They all seem like good choices.

I would also like to read Midnight's Children

Midnight's Children meets my page count for the mammoth challenge, so I'd be happy to read that one. The Remains of the Day is an excellent book, I can recommend that one.

I voted for Remains of the Day as I nominated it, and also it's the only one which I already have a copy.

Is it going to be Remains of the Day?

Remains of the Day sounds kind of boring, so I'm afraid I'm going to have to complicate things.

    Shame on you

Though I have to say Midnight's Children is a book I have been wanting to read. I myself had been on the fence in regaurds to Remains of the Day

Midnight's Children is a good read. I've read half of it, and so this will give me a good excuse to finish it.

Midnight's Children is the only book in that list that I will not read. Already read it and I sincerely do not think it is worth a second read... Rushdie is hardly one of my favourite authors.

Well, I hope that doesn't sop you from participating in the discussion. It definitely sounds like you have some interesting things to say.

I second Mutatis. It's good to get the contrary view.
