We will soon have to change to ab urbe condita or other calendars that are not based on the year that Christ supposedly was born on (but most probably didn't)

Some people we know, for example, sometimes use a calendar that states the present year to be 10219, since it is believed that about so many years ago, ice melted in Danish straits enough that the water could break through, the Baltic Ice lake turned into Yoldia sea, which resulted in a rapid change of the sea level in very short time. It is possible that human eyes saw that process.

Sheldon's novel about a minister who tries to lead his congregation in practicing the teachings of Jesus is first serialized in a Congregational weekly before appearing in book form in 1897. Buoyant over the success of their 1902 glider, the Wright brothers were no longer content to merely add to the growing body of aeronautical knowledge; they were going to invent the airplane. Still, they recognized that much hard work lay ahead, especially the creation of a propulsion system. During the spring and summer of 1903, they were consumed with leaping that final hurdle into history.
On December 17, 1903, Wilbur and Orville Wright made four brief flights at Kitty Hawk with their first powered aircraft. The Wright brothers had invented the first successful airplane. http://h1071118.hobbyshopnow.com/ProdInfo/GUI/250/GUI1202-250.jpg

1975 I undergo surgery to rebuild my left ankle, shattered by a three-story-fall the year before and set wrong by the doctors. They tell me I will never walk without a limp, and will probably never run again. The very next year, I almost break a school record for fastest time in the 600 yard run. I ran two miles every evening, and five on Saturday for the next several years and played basketball with guys half my age right up until my nervous breakdown. So doctors don't know everything. My left leg is a bit shorter than my right, but at 300+ pounds I still can move surprisingly fast!

1999: The Millenium -- and the Millenium Bug -- approaches.... All computers will fail, one year from now. Electric plants will go offline because they'll think it will be 1900 and they won't have been built yet. When the power fails, airplanes will crash, bank vaults will open, stock markets will plummet, and the world's economies will tumble one after the next like dominos. Chaos will reign supreme and civilization as we know it will vanish overnight! Religious Sects everywhere predict that this will all be the fulfillment of prophecy and that it means that Jesus will return and the True Millenium will begin.
