Reading Barry Lyndon
I can remember the Stanley Kubrick film - a cartoon by Gainsborough as a friend at the time called it. I've just read the book. Quite different from what I vaguely remember of the film. If you want an unreliable narrator, here it is, a blatant con man and murderer forever crying up how honourable and noble he is.
