Hello all. I'm currently writing an essay on Of Human Bondage by W. Somerset Maugham, and I was wondering if anyone familiar with the book may be able to answer two questions that I'm finding difficult to answer: 1. What is Phillip's age by the end of the book? 2. What is Sally Athelny's age when we meet her/by the end of the book? I'm going to keep looking through the book, but if anyone happened to know this or know where I can find that information, that'd be a great help. Thanks.
Well, I'm considering buying this book, and I came across a 'The Collected Edition'. Does anyone know the difference between this 'The Collected Edition' and the supposed "regular" edition? Would be greateful if anyone have an answer to this question. Thanks Urgh, nevermind. Was a stupid question really, but at least I found the answer. Topic can be closed if you mods wish.
Hello all! Im a newbie here so first off my brief introduction: I'm Meesh and I live in Los Angeles. Ive never joined a book discussion group and thought it would be a lot of fun and I always love getting insight from others. I wasn't quite sure where to post this, so thought this would be my best bet. I started reading Of Human Bondage by W. Somerset Maugham and my only regret is that I didn't start it sooner! I'm only in the first few pages and I've read the warnings of how it could be slow sometimes, but don't have a problem with it...yet. Is anyone else reading this book? If not, I highly recommend it... let me know!:D
