A Biography of the Wife of John Adams (October 30, 1735 – July 4, 1826), the second president of the United States (1797–1801), after serving as the first Vice President of the United States (1789-1797), and mother of the sixth President of the United States, John Quincy Adams (July 11, 1767 – February 23, 1848). Through her prolific letters written to her husband she provides an account of life and politics during the American Revolutionary War.
