    Poem Failure

Sung to the tune of Spongebob Squarepants (i have this tune in my head since I was diagnosed today with medullary sponge kidneys!)

    Are ya ready Lit-netters?
    Aye aye Delta!
    Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,
Who lives with urine that is so cloudy?
    Spongeless Kidneys!
Repetitive stones and UTI's has she.
    Spongeless Kidneys!
If renal failure be somethin' you wish,
    Spongeless Kidneys!
She can drop on the deck and flop like a fish!
    Spongeless Kidneys!
    Spongeless Kidneys!
    Spongeless Kidneys!
    Argh, argh, argh, argh, argh

Nobody else I know would have the cheek, the courage and the chutzpah to write about kidney diseases. I don't know the tune (age!), but I can understand the sentiment. I really sympathise with your plight. I didn't know what the conditon was, but was unbelievably relieved to find that whilst it is uncomfortable, it isn't threatening. Long may The Deltoid Kidneys filter!!

    "Spongeless kidneys. spongless kidneys "
goes to bed singing damn you.
my right is overly spongey if a balancing transplant would help....

    For those who believe,
    no explanation is necessary.
    For those who do not,
    none will suffice.

oh dear Delta, I don't know much about it but hope it'll clear up quickly!

"But do you really, seriously, Major Scobie," Dr. Sykes asked, "believe in hell?"
    "Oh, yes, I do."
    "In flames and torment?"
"Perhaps not quite that. They tell us it may be a permanent sense of loss."
"That sort of hell wouldn't worry me," Fellowes said.
"Perhaps you've never lost anything of importance," Scobie said.
