He’s not running for anything right now so this is not political discussion!! It’s just a little something about this guy who happens to be in politicks. I’ll delete this if I need to.

Here is a brief note about former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee. He didn’t do too badly in a recent run for GOP presidential nominee- I think Arkansas was surprised. He was on national news when he and his wife moved into a triple wide trailer while the Governor’s mansion was renovated. I remember feeling a little embarrassed. I understand that he didn‘t want to spend a lot of money on temporary housing, but it did not help our image down here. Furthermore, I don’t know a single educator that liked him. But, during his run for the nomination he was very personable and came across as a very likable guy. He was funny, easy, he made people smile. I think I know why-

So of course he comes off as likeable. Anyway- he did the Heimlich on a guy last night and saved him from choking. What a guy! And here he is playing the guitar with Elvis!

    Yeah, Chuck Norris is such a joke nowadays. I think he would have killed anyone's chances.

    I heard about him saving someone on the radio coming home today. He is a nice guy and I enjoyed his run in the primary. I admit, I didn't vote for him (his economic policies weren't to my liking) but he was a pleasure to listen to. I'm not sure if he's a serious contender for the vice presidency (Arkansas isn't that big a state) but McCain has him on his list. I do hope he stays in politics and active. He'll probably be in the admnistration when McCain wins. Yeah and he does remind one of Jim Neighbors. I'm not sure if any of the younger people have even heard of Neighbors. But besides being Gomer Pyle on TV, Neighbors had a really nice singing voice.

    Your right MH, I say an interview with MH (hey!!) pre weight loss and he seemed like a nice, down to earth guy. There were reports that his son was a little squirrely but I never had the initiative to search if that was true or not. (And at least Arkansas isn't #1 in STD's like LA)

    LMAO! Gomer was gay, did you know that? Mike is a nice guy, but most of the time nice guys make terrible politicians. I think they require you to sell your soul before you can even be considered for president.

    From what I read about this guy, it seems that he is against abortion and homosexuality. That doesn't sound very nice to me. I mean, being against this is ok for me, but wanting to impose it to others is something else.

    I wasn't going to vote for him. Like Virgil I had some concerns about his economic plan and he really did a number on the education system here. I just thought he looked like Gomer Pyle who was gay and did have a great singing voice, and how many president wanna bes have preformed with The King?

    surprise surprise surprise (that had nothing to do with the entry - I just wanted to do that because every time I think of Gomer I start hearing that over and over in my head)
