Jan. 25--LINCOLN -- The University of Nebraska-Lincoln now holds the largest collection of Willa Cather's private letters after a recent gift to the school.
Newly donated correspondence -- nearly 400 letters the famed Nebraska author wrote to her brother and sister-in-law -- should allow experts to unearth previously hidden details of Cather's writing and life, two scholars said Wednesday.
A preliminary look at the letters suggests that Cather trusted her brother's literary chops, said Andrew Jewell, editor of UNL's Willa Cather Archive.
