Dec. 1--Nearly 60 years after Willa Cather's death, her books still resonate with Omaha readers.
"They are checked out a lot," said Lucy Lewis, branch manager of the Willa Cather Library. "The books are on and off the shelves so much, they wear out, and we often have to reorder them."
Saturday, the Omaha Public Library will pay homage to one of Nebraska's greatest writers when it celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Willa Cather Library, 1905 S. 44th St.
