Volusia County issued the following news release:

The author of Uncle Tom's Cabin will be presented by actress and orator Betty Jean Steinshouer at DeBary Hall Historic Site Wednesday, April 5, at 10 a.m. as part of the Florida Humanities Council's Road Scholar Program. This presentation is free and open to the public.

Steinshouer has toured 43 states since 1988 with her literary Chautauquas of great women authors, including Harriet Beecher Stowe, Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, Willa Cather, Laura Ingalls Wilder, Gertrude Stein and Sarah Orne Jewett. She has spent years of ongoing research on each ...
