The Woman in White Palace, 0870 895 5579, to March 5. An inferior adaptation of the story means that Andrew Lloyd Webber's new musical fails to live up to the famous Wilkie Collins novel on which it is based. The show has a lot going for it even so - outstanding performances from Maria Friedman as an off-beat heroine and Michael Crawford as the overweight villain Count Fosco; a pleasant and occasionally surprising score; superb video designs by William Dudley.
