Calvin Francis Harlow is not exactly a household name in East Bridgewater, even though his heroic death during the last weeks of the Civil War was celebrated by 19th-century poet Walt Whitman in his book, "Specimen Days and Collect."

But history buff Dale Julius, a minor celebrity himself as a member of a popular local rock band, Dale & the Duds, plans to reintroduce residents to Harlow during a daylong event on April 2.
