Walt Whitman Center celebrates life: Extravaganza was held in honor of the late Rene L. Huggins

Gone, but certainly not forgotten, Rene L. Huggins, the late executive director of Camden's Walt Whitman Cultural Arts Center, was memorialized on Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998. The tremendous 12-hour cultural extravaganza was sponsored by the Walt Whitman Center and the Friends of Rene Committee.
