The literary friendship between authors Virginia Woolf and Morgan Forster manifested itself in two off their best-known books, 'Howards End' and 'The Waves.' Woolf and Forster related to one another both as practicing novelists and as critics who examined each other's works. Although, they also regarded themselves as friends within their Bloomsbury connections, both authors competed against each other and tried to establish the narrative aesthetics of their time.
