(Spartan Daily) (U-WIRE) SAN JOSE, Calif. -- My dad always told me
that feminists were "women who bitched a lot." So when I finally got
to college, I decided to discover what was so taboo about the issue
and enrolled in a women's studies class.
Contrary to what my father had told me, I discovered that feminists weren't all angry man-haters. The only anger that I felt from my introduction to feminism was the fact that it took 18 years before I learned of authors such as Charlotte Perkins Gilman and Virginia Woolf.
