Este ha sido el año del escritor de 'Los Miserables'. Aprovechando el bicentenario de su nacimiento, Francia ha organizado un itinerario con escala en la casa-museo del poeta, creada en 1902.

Victor Hugo (1802-1885) tuvo dos residencias: el hotel de Rohan Guéménée, en la plaza de los Vosgos, en París, que alquiló durante 16 años (entre 1832 y 1848), y una mansión de tipo colonial en la isla de Guernesey, en el Canal de la Mancha inglés, donde vivió 14 años de su largo exilio (que se extendió entre los años 1851 y 1870).
